Privacy Policy
This policy applies to Range AI and every Range AI application and connector — the customer portal, the hosted assistant endpoint, and each service integration — as well as to visitors of this website. It is written to cover all services you may connect (for example Google / Gmail, Microsoft 365, Xero, Calendly, HubSpot, Stripe), so the same policy governs each of them.
What Range AI does
Range AI lets you connect your own third-party accounts so an AI assistant can carry out tasks you ask it to perform against those accounts. You authorise each connection yourself, in your browser, through that provider's standard OAuth permission screen. Range AI never sees or stores your provider passwords.
What we access, and why
- Only the specific permissions (scopes) you approve for each connected service, and only to perform actions you initiate or schedule.
- Connection metadata (which services are connected, account identifiers such as a mailbox address or organisation id) to operate the integration.
- An audit record of actions taken on your behalf.
We do not sell the data from your connected services, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models. This promise covers the data Range AI accesses through the accounts you connect. This website separately uses one advertising-measurement tool for site visitors only, described plainly under "Advertising measurement" below; it has no access to your connected-service data.
Google user data — Limited Use
Range AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing features you have connected, is not transferred or sold for other purposes, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train generalised AI/ML models.
The same Limited Use principle applies equivalently to data obtained through Microsoft, Xero, Calendly and any other connected provider: it is used solely to deliver the features you connected it for.
Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn (publishing to your pages)
If you connect a Facebook Page, an Instagram business account, or a LinkedIn Page, you authorise Range AI through that platform's standard permission screen so the assistant can publish posts you create and approve to those pages on your behalf. We request only the permissions needed to do that (to list the pages you manage, read basic page details, and publish posts).
Range AI holds essentially no data here. The only thing we retain is the encrypted access token required to post on your behalf, the page/account identifier it belongs to, and an audit record of posts made at your request. We do not collect, store, profile, sell, or use for advertising — and never use to train AI models — your posts' content beyond passing it through to publish, your followers or audience, your insights or analytics, your comments, or your direct messages. We never read or store any of those.
Platform data obtained via Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn is used solely to deliver the posting feature you connected it for, consistent with the Meta Platform Terms, the Instagram Platform Policy and the LinkedIn API Terms. Disconnecting the page in your Range AI portal erases the stored token immediately; see Data Deletion.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)
This website uses one tracking tool, and one only: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. We use it for a single purpose — to measure and improve Range AI's own Facebook and Instagram advertising. In plain terms, that means seeing which of our ads led someone to enquire or book a call, and showing our ads to people who have already visited this site.
That is the only tracking on this site. We do not run any other analytics or advertising trackers. We do not sell or share this data, we do not use it to build profiles for anyone else, and — as stated above — it has no access to the data in any account you connect to Range AI. The pixel runs by default; you can opt out by turning off ad personalisation in your Meta account settings and using your browser's privacy controls. The whole site, including booking a call, works fully regardless. The embedded Calendly scheduler is provided by Calendly and is subject to Calendly's own privacy policy.
Storage and security
Provider access tokens are stored encrypted at rest, scoped to your account, and are never returned through the API or exposed to the assistant — actions are performed through them, the tokens themselves are never handed out. Access is restricted and audited.
Retention and deletion
Disconnecting a service in your Range AI portal revokes and erases Range AI's stored token for it. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]; you can also revoke access directly from the provider (e.g. your Google, Microsoft, or Meta account security settings). Full step-by-step instructions are on our Data Deletion page.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data is processed only by Range AI and the infrastructure providers needed to run the service, under confidentiality obligations, and is disclosed otherwise only where required by law.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and, for material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify connected customers.
